The Six-Step Search

What do you get before interviewing?

1. Search CalibrationYou get a hiring brief that separates the work, reporting authority and non-negotiable requirements. We agree what would make a candidate worth an interview before contacting anyone. 2. Market MappingYou get a defined search pool, not a reposted vacancy.

  1. 1. Search Calibration

You get a hiring brief that separates the work, reporting authority and non-negotiable requirements. We agree what would make a candidate worth an interview before contacting anyone.

  2. 2. Market Mapping

You get a defined search pool, not a reposted vacancy. We identify the kinds of plants and teams where people already handle comparable equipment, processes and operating demands.

  3. 3. Professional Contact Intelligence

You get a way to reach working people directly. We check professional contact routes and approach candidates discreetly, without making your plant or vacancy public unless you approve.

  4. 4. Persistent Personalized Outreach

You get individual conversations about the actual opening. We explain the work, shift and location, ask whether a move makes sense, and follow up without pretending every person is interested.

  5. 5. Live Candidate Qualification

You get evidence of fit before spending interview time. We talk through decisions, equipment, results and reasons for moving, then distinguish direct experience from skills that would need support.

  6. 6. Candidate Intelligence and Process Support

You get a focused short list with the information behind it. We explain motivation, practical constraints and concerns, support interviews, and keep offer decisions with your hiring team.

What should you know before sending client overview?

Use this overview to turn an open manufacturing seat into a brief the recruiting team can act on. Start with the work that is not getting done. A plant leader, process engineer and maintenance technician can all affect output, but they make different decisions and need different evidence behind their experience.

When do you pay a recruiting fee?

No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire. The signed recruiting agreement sets the fee basis and payment terms. Sending an opening does not itself commit you to a fee or an exclusive arrangement.

How long does it take to see a short list?

We discuss the search conditions before describing a realistic next step. Shift, location, equipment match and the candidate's reasons for moving all matter. We do not promise a shortlist date before understanding the opening.

How do you handle counteroffers?

We ask what is driving the move before introducing a candidate. We discuss what might change if the current employer offers more money or a different job. Your team still decides whether that person's motivation fits the opening.

What replacement terms apply?

We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.

What do you not do?

We do not bill hourly for a standard permanent search, repost a job-board ad as a search, or supply high-volume general labor. Retainers are not the default. Any different arrangement must be agreed in writing.

Use this overview to turn an open manufacturing seat into a brief the recruiting team can act on. Start with the work that is not getting done. A plant leader, process engineer and maintenance technician can all affect output, but they make different decisions and need different evidence behind their experience. The role pages separate those responsibilities.

Give the plant location and the shift before describing an ideal background. For a hands-on seat, a workable commute and accepted schedule can decide whether a conversation goes anywhere. For a leadership seat, explain the reporting line, crew or management scope and the decisions that sit with the hire rather than with a corporate function.

Name the actual process and required systems. A molding setup, a machining department and a food packaging line are not interchangeable settings. Separate qualifications the person must already hold from training your plant can provide. That distinction keeps a job description from excluding people who can do the work while admitting title matches who cannot.

Tell the team what changes would make this opening confidential. An incumbent replacement needs a different approach from a publicly announced new line. The confidential choice on the intake records that request. Include enough operational detail to calibrate the search without attaching private employee files or naming people who are not part of the hiring decision.

Choose a hiring request when you are ready to discuss a search. A talent snapshot is a smaller first ask about the relevant backgrounds in your area. A job description review is a way to check whether the written brief matches the work. None of those forms substitutes for agreed recruiting terms.

After the brief, the team checks the role definition, maps the relevant backgrounds and contacts employed people directly. Live qualification examines what the person has actually owned, why they would move and whether the schedule and location work. Your interview should test the remaining decision, not repeat a resume screen that the search should already have covered.

What should I prepare before a search conversation?

Bring the reporting line, location, shift and the work this person will own. Explain what made the last title match unsuitable. If a credential or system is essential, say why. Those details make it possible to discuss a credible brief before asking people to consider the opening.
