What should you know about agree the brief?

A manufacturing search takes the time needed to find relevant working people, establish whether the job fits and let both sides make a decision. We do not publish a fixed shortlist promise. The constraints differ between a production supervisor, a controls engineer and a plant leader.

Start by agreeing which experience must be present and which experience your team can develop.

What should you know about recognize a changed remit?

Brief changes can extend the search without anybody noticing why. If a role starts as equipment support and later becomes crew management, the people mapped for the original opening may no longer fit. Agree the decision authority first. When the remit changes, acknowledge the change and reassess the candidate pool rather than treating the original work as wasted effort.

What should you know about define process fit?

A narrow process requirement changes where we look. Injection molding, sterile filling and wafer processing need different backgrounds even when the title says process technician. Equipment and quality requirements can make a promising adjacent candidate unsuitable. We explain that difference before an interview, because testing the wrong background repeatedly does not move the search forward.

What should you know about give working people a reason to move?

Working candidates are not all waiting for a recruiter. We need a reason for somebody to consider the opening, and the reason has to survive a conversation about the actual plant. Unclear shifts, travel or reporting relationships can stop that conversation.

Tell us what can change and what is fixed so outreach does not depend on an assumption your team cannot honor.

What should you know about prepare the interview?

Interview access is a separate constraint from sourcing. A hiring team that cannot agree who evaluates the technical work can lose time after a relevant person is found. Choose the interview exercise and the decision owner before introductions. Ask each interviewer to assess a defined part of the remit rather than repeating the same general conversation.

What should you know about use specific feedback?

Feedback should identify the missing evidence. If an interview did not establish controls troubleshooting, explain which task remained untested. Saying only that someone did not feel right leaves the next search decision unclear. We use the actual concern to refine qualification, not to circulate another batch of resumes with the same gap.

What should you know about resolve offer questions?

Offer discussions can expose a problem that belonged in the brief. A candidate may accept the technical scope but need a different shift or authority. A current employer may respond with a counteroffer. These are reasons to clarify motivation before the offer, not reasons to pressure a person into a quick answer.

We report the concern and help keep the decision concrete.

What should you know about clarify geography?

Relocation has its own decisions. A person can be interested in the plant and still need to work through the move with their household. State the location and approved support early. Traveling work is a different arrangement and needs a defined territory and home base. Neither option should be presented as a simple fix for an unclear local search.

What should you know about confirm start conditions?

A successful interview does not mean every start condition is resolved. Confirm the remaining checks and the agreed handoff from the current work. Your organization owns its employment decision and requirements. We support the process without claiming that a recruiting conversation can replace the plant's onboarding or authorization for skilled work.

What should you know about report the real constraint?

The useful progress report describes the constraint, not an invented date. We can tell you whether the issue is process experience, interest in the remit or interview decisions. Then you can choose whether to adjust a requirement or keep searching against it. A fixed promise hides those choices; a clear explanation helps you make them.

What should you know about test the right decision?

Before outreach, choose an example of the operating decision the new hire must handle. A machining discussion might test setup and measurement. A quality discussion might test controlled disposition. A maintenance discussion might test diagnosis and safe escalation. The exact example matters more than a generic interview score: it tells us what evidence belongs on your shortlist.

What should you know about agree terms without a speed promise?

Keep commercial terms separate from a speed claim. Permanent contingency search has no upfront fee, and the recruiting agreement sets the fee before we begin. If you need a different engagement, discuss its actual scope and terms. A request for urgency does not authorize us to invent a delivery date or quietly substitute a different kind of worker.

What should you know about undefined?

For an urgent opening, decide who can give useful interview feedback and who can approve the eventual offer. We can describe what outreach and qualification reveal, but a decision waiting inside the plant remains a decision the plant must make. Keeping those responsibilities visible is more useful than presenting every delay as a recruiting problem.

The Six-Step Search

What do you get before interviewing?

  1. 1. Search Calibration

You get a hiring brief that separates the work, reporting authority and non-negotiable requirements. We agree what would make a candidate worth an interview before contacting anyone.

  2. 2. Market Mapping

You get a defined search pool, not a reposted vacancy. We identify the kinds of plants and teams where people already handle comparable equipment, processes and operating demands.

  3. 3. Professional Contact Intelligence

You get a way to reach working people directly. We check professional contact routes and approach candidates discreetly, without making your plant or vacancy public unless you approve.

  4. 4. Persistent Personalized Outreach

You get individual conversations about the actual opening. We explain the work, shift and location, ask whether a move makes sense, and follow up without pretending every person is interested.

  5. 5. Live Candidate Qualification

You get evidence of fit before spending interview time. We talk through decisions, equipment, results and reasons for moving, then distinguish direct experience from skills that would need support.

  6. 6. Candidate Intelligence and Process Support

You get a focused short list with the information behind it. We explain motivation, practical constraints and concerns, support interviews, and keep offer decisions with your hiring team.

What should you know before sending how long a manufacturing search takes and why?

When do you pay a recruiting fee?

No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire. The signed recruiting agreement sets the fee basis and payment terms. Sending an opening does not itself commit you to a fee or an exclusive arrangement.

How long does it take to see a short list?

We discuss the search conditions before describing a realistic next step. Shift, location, equipment match and the candidate's reasons for moving all matter. We do not promise a shortlist date before understanding the opening.

How do you handle counteroffers?

We ask what is driving the move before introducing a candidate. We discuss what might change if the current employer offers more money or a different job. Your team still decides whether that person's motivation fits the opening.

What replacement terms apply?

We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.

What do you not do?

We do not bill hourly for a standard permanent search, repost a job-board ad as a search, or supply high-volume general labor. Retainers are not the default. Any different arrangement must be agreed in writing.
