What should you know about the hiring problem and what postings miss?

Contracts requiring ASME or AWS qualification need welders whose records are current. For code welders we look for ASME Section IX qualifications with a continuity log, plus radiography or ultrasonic pass history. 1 or sanitary tube work. We ask to see the qualification details through the candidate and match them to your procedures.

Welders qualified to code

Contracts requiring ASME or AWS qualification need welders whose records are current. For code welders we look for ASME Section IX qualifications with a continuity log, plus radiography or ultrasonic pass history. For TIG welders we ask about aerospace D17.1 or sanitary tube work. We ask to see the qualification details through the candidate and match them to your procedures.

Certified Welding Inspectors

A CWI must be able to apply code to real welds and write clear reports. We ask about the codes the person inspected to, how they handle a disagreement with a welder and how current their certification is. We also ask about visual inspection tools and documentation habits.

IPC-certified assemblers and harness builders

Electronics and harness contracts often require IPC training for assemblers and solderers. We ask which standards the person is certified in, who issued the training and how recently, and what boards or harnesses they have built. Practical soldering skill matters as much as the certificate.

NDT Level II

Level II technicians need certification in the method required under the applicable practice, with experience on parts like yours. We ask about ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle and penetrant methods, procedure writing, and any special-process audit experience.

US person requirements

Contracts involving ITAR restrict access to US persons. We confirm status early and in the manner your compliance office requires, so that no candidate is interviewed and then excluded for a reason that was knowable from the start.

Customer audit readiness

Winning work with certified requirements usually means a customer audit soon after. We ask candidates whether they have supported a source approval visit, what the auditor asked them and how they showed records. A person who has stood in front of an auditor stays calmer when yours arrives.

Records that follow the person

Certification is only useful when records are kept. We ask about welder continuity logs, calibration of tools, training records and inspection reports, and how the candidate stores them. People who keep their own records are easier to certify and to defend in an audit.

What should you know about roles involved?

What the right background looks like?

Certified people are mostly employed in jobs where their credentials already earn respect. We reach them through peers at pressure vessel, aerospace and electronics plants, through inspectors and quality staff who know who holds what, and through union halls and training schools that track their completers.

Independent inspection firms and contract manufacturers also employ people who have worked on many codes. We approach them carefully, and we respect when a candidate has an obligation that limits where they can go.

Retired inspectors and welding instructors can advise on who is credible in a region, and we speak to them when we need a second opinion on the market. Contract and temporary certified people can also bridge a gap, and we tell you when a local vendor may serve a short-term need.

How this manufacturing search runs?

We begin by reading the requirements with you: the codes, the customer flowdowns, how many people are needed and by when you must show certification to win or keep the work. We write them down, decide which credentials are essential and which can be earned after hire, and agree recruiting terms in writing.

We then approach working specialists whose credentials match, screen them on current status and recent work, and report to you with short profiles. If a certificate has lapsed or is limited in scope, we say so.

Interviews often include a practical test or a record review. We help coordinate retesting where your procedure requires it, and we manage conversations about notice, offer and start arrangements.

Because contracts have milestones, we tell you in advance when a credential will need to be verified with a third party, so that paperwork does not surprise anyone.

If your award depends on a date by which certified people must be in place, we say plainly what is realistic given notice periods in the market. We do not promise a timeline we cannot control, and we make sure you know the main constraint is usually the candidate's notice.

We also ask your quality lead which credential gaps would block a start and which could be closed by a short course after the offer is accepted, since that distinction widens or narrows the pool considerably.

    2. 2. Market Mapping

You get a defined search pool, not a reposted vacancy. We identify the kinds of plants and teams where people already handle comparable equipment, processes and operating demands.

    3. 3. Professional Contact Intelligence

You get a way to reach working people directly. We check professional contact routes and approach candidates discreetly, without making your plant or vacancy public unless you approve.

    4. 4. Persistent Personalized Outreach

You get individual conversations about the actual opening. We explain the work, shift and location, ask whether a move makes sense, and follow up without pretending every person is interested.

    5. 5. Live Candidate Qualification

You get evidence of fit before spending interview time. We talk through decisions, equipment, results and reasons for moving, then distinguish direct experience from skills that would need support.

    6. 6. Candidate Intelligence and Process Support

You get a focused short list with the information behind it. We explain motivation, practical constraints and concerns, support interviews, and keep offer decisions with your hiring team.

What should you know before sending winning work that requires certified people?

When do you pay a recruiting fee?

No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire. The signed recruiting agreement sets the fee basis and payment terms. Sending an opening does not itself commit you to a fee or an exclusive arrangement.

How long does it take to see a short list?

We discuss the search conditions before describing a realistic next step. Shift, location, equipment match and the candidate's reasons for moving all matter. We do not promise a shortlist date before understanding the opening.

    How do you handle counteroffers?

We ask what is driving the move before introducing a candidate. We discuss what might change if the current employer offers more money or a different job. Your team still decides whether that person's motivation fits the opening.

    What replacement terms apply?

We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.

    What do you not do?

We do not bill hourly for a standard permanent search, repost a job-board ad as a search, or supply high-volume general labor. Retainers are not the default. Any different arrangement must be agreed in writing.
