Manufacturing Headhunters uses the published BLS OEWS figures below. They describe the mapped occupation and area, not an individual offer.
This is what we do all day: recruit manufacturing professionals.
Every pay figure on these pages is a published value from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics program, reference period May 2025, released 2026-05-15.

We load the national, state and metropolitan files from bls.gov/oes/tables.htm by script. Nothing is typed by hand. Earlier releases are kept.

What BLS wages include?
Wages for the OEWS survey are straight-time, gross pay, exclusive of premium pay. Base rate; cost-of-living allowances; guaranteed pay; hazardous-duty pay; incentive pay, including commissions and production bonuses; and tips are included. Excluded are overtime pay, severance pay, shift differentials, nonproduction bonuses, employer cost for supplementary benefits, and tuition reimbursements.
What should you know about fallbacks and top-codes?
If BLS did not publish a median for an occupation in a metro, no page exists for that combination. Tools may fall back to the state and then the national figure and say so. Cells BLS flags as top-coded show as "$X or more", and bars end open.
Where BLS released only annual or only hourly wages, we show only that unit. Hourly to annual conversion, where a tool needs it for your own input, uses the BLS convention of 2,080 hours. We do not interpolate percentiles, adjust for cost of living, or project.
How roles map to BLS occupations?
BLS publishes occupations, not plant job titles. Each role below shows how closely its BLS occupation matches. Closest-proxy and broader-occupation figures are never a precise salary for the plant role.

What should you know about release comparison?
Where both exist, we show May 2024 and May 2025 medians side by side with the periods stated. They are separate BLS estimates from different survey panels. They are not like-for-like workers and not a growth measure, so we compute no change.
What should you know about rankings and relative pay?
Rankings use exact published annual medians only. Top-coded medians, hourly-only occupations and unpublished cells are excluded from the ranking and listed beside it. Relative pay is the role median divided by the all-occupations median in the same area, both exact, same units, shown to two decimals. It is not a cost-of-living adjustment.
Location quotient is BLS's measure of how concentrated an occupation's employment is against the nation. It is not a wage index.
What should you know about industry rows and pay mix?
Industry tables use national manufacturing NAICS estimates with BLS labels, unchanged. Pay mix notes explain what BLS straight-time wages include and which parts of a plant's pay package sit outside that measure. They do not estimate overtime or shift differentials. Supervisory and worker occupations are separate BLS occupations.
